BACKGROUND:
The client for this project was an expert in his field, with over 30 years of experience in manufacturing, heavy construction, and engineering. He had held senior management positions for some of New Zealand's most prominent businesses. This project was his brand-new home overlooking the inner-west reaches of Auckland Harbour.
CHALLENGE:
One of the key components of this modern, architecturally designed townhouse was the fabrication of millimetre-perfect steel beams that formed the framing. The beam designs also came in a variety of complex shapes that required a fully customised design and manufacturing process.
OUTCOME:
Due to the complex nature of the fabrication, King Engineering was able to put its creative, problem-solving skills to the test. In-house draftsmen and certified welders worked together to deliver precise, durable steel that met compliance standards and construction specifications. The steel was also galvanised on-site, making the manufacturing process seamless. Additionally, Kings Engineering managed the delivery and on-site erection to ensure fault-free integration.
